Does a producer have an obligation to wait for all Vietnam Vets to die off before doing entertainment stories? Not sure because I am not a vet myself maybe I don't have the right to say. Saw reviews about historical accuracy and the comment I have about that is that this series is for entertainment, not a documentary, and entertainment usually embellishes things & stories, it is not fact vs. He also mentioned that in their field he felt the safest when the Korean Tiger Co was near as the enemy would fear them because the Koreans were highly against communism and were very capable of handling things (my only comment).
Korean wanted American cigarettes and the Americans would get spent shells from him where they would make ashtrays for the officers.
He had a good relationship with the sergeant there and they would trade. He was sergeant of allied shops and the Korean shops were located next to ours. I personally don't know that much about their "real" history, and I did ask my husband if he had any experience himself with them as he is a US Vietnam Vet from the same time period and he did have vivid memories. Actually was interested when I saw that as something some of us in the US forget about others that fought as well.
